Wadi Lahmy
In the far south, where Egypt ends from a tourist point of view, you will find Hamata. From here, it’s only about ten minutes to Wadi Lahmy. In Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort, ORCA has set up its southernmost base. If you come here, you want to experience some special diving – and you get just that, literally on the doorstep.
ORCA Dive Club
The dive centre has been designed by ORCA itself and so 25 years of experience have been incorporated here. Two Bauer compressors ensure that the 250 steel tanks are always well filled. Also a Nitrox unit is one of the facilities of the base. Rental equipment is also sufficiently available, also equipment for children.
House reef, diving boats and dive sites
The house reef can be easily reached via the hotel’s own jetty, equipment is brought to the jetty, and the house reef can be dived daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. With our Jumbos, the journey to the port takes about 10 minutes, a short walk to the landing stage for the boats and the equipment is already waiting there. Assemble the bottles and off you go on the day trip to the famous reefs of the Fury Shoals, travel times with the day boat between 45 minutes up to 2.5 hours, with the speed boat between 10 to 40 minutes.
Many divers believe the reef group of the Fury Shoals to be one of the most beautiful diving areas in the entire Red Sea.
WADI LAHMY AZUR RESORT
The All Inclusive – complex (soft all inclusive) is located on a sprawling lagoon with some beautiful stretches of beach. The hotel is located directly on the beach, 185 miles south of the Marsa Alam airport. The transfer time to the airport takes about 2 1/2 hours and takes on a good road to Hamata. The small town of Hamata is only 5 km away, there is also the marina with our boats.
Description
The 155 rooms are spread across multiple story buildings. Facilities include a lobby with a reception desk, a small lobby with a bar and a restaurant with terrace and sea view. The Bedouin tent right on the beach is usually the meeting place for the guests in the evening. There are two swimming pools with sun terrace and pool bar, sun beds and umbrellas, beach towels are included.

Dome shaped rooms with air-conditioning, private balcony or terrace, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, private bathroom, hairdryer, mini bar, safety deposit box and tea and coffee making facilities.

Distance to the ORCA Dive Club
Dive center is located in the hotel complex. The port in Hamata, from which boats depart the day, you reach in about ten minutes by shuttle bus.
Note
To maximize the sunlight, especially in winter time, the time in Hamata is one hour ahead of the time in Egypt.
